ASCD Emerging Leader
ASCD, a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to empowering educators to achieve excellence in learning, teaching, and leading, is pleased to announce the selection of 25 educators for its 2019 class of Emerging Leaders. The Emerging Leaders program recognizes and prepares young, promising educators to influence education programs, policy, and practice on both the local and national levels. The 2019 class of regionally diverse Emerging Leaders hails from 17 states. Boy Scouts of America National Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Awardee

The national Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award is designed to recognize those individuals and corporations who have been instrumental in the development of Scouting for rural, urban, and suburban youth who often face challenging barriers. This award recognizes “unsung heroes,” those who do exceptional service for disadvantaged youth.

Selected as Assistant Principal of the Year for district’s e region consisting of 30 schools.
